Mental Health Services

The Woodland Center for Mental Health is closed as of July 15, 2011.

Mental health services and treatment at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System will continue.

The decision to close Woodland Center was made only after in-depth evaluation of the mental health services offered by Hannibal Regional Healthcare System and its ability to continue that level of service into the future. Of primary concern is the unavailability of psychiatrists to guide the provision of services to our patients.

HRHS has assessed and evaluated capabilities and resources over the past three years and the healthcare system has expanded to provide additional outpatient mental health services through Hannibal Regional Medical Group. 

Going forward HRHS will continue the provision of excellent outpatient mental health services for our patients and their families while accessing necessary inpatient services through regional affiliations.
